In the Liebing district, the chestnut grove with the thickest trees in Burgenland is a magical place of power and a great inside tip.

In the idyllic village of Liebing, a district of Mannersdorf an der Rabnitz, there are several approximately 350-year-old chestnut trees. Some of the tree trunks have circumferences of up to 10 meters. The perfect place to pause – away from the noise of traffic – and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Besides seeing the extraordinarily beautiful giant trees, a visit to the chestnut grove is also beneficial from a health perspective. You should spent at least 20 minutes to rest and relax at the trees. Several years ago, scientists studied the area around the giant trees and identified a force field. The radiation field below the trees resembles those in pyramids, and is supposed to have an extremely positive and very calming effect on people.

The chestnut grove is maintained by committed villagers in Liebing, by Verein D'Kaestnklauba and the municipality Mannersdorf an der Rabnitz - more recently, the trees were also cut back by professional tree surgeons making it safe to spend time under them.

The chestnut grove was incorporated into the Alpannonia long-distance hiking trail (http://www.alpannonia.at/) in 2013.

You can visit the giant trees at any time. This place of power is freely accessible and open all hours!
